Our New Jeol 8100 Electron Probe Micro Analyser  was dedicated for the service of scientific community on 23rd September 2002 by Prof. V. S. Ramamurthy, Secretory, Department of Science and Technology in presence of Dr. Aiyagari Rao Advisor, DST and Prof. G.K.Mehta, Vice-Chancellor, University of Allahabad.

Prof. M. Arima and Mrs. S. Arima of Yokohama National University visited this Centre during August 22-25, 2002.

A workshop on Plate Tectonics was held during October 3-5, 2002. Main speaker in this workshop were Prof. Peter Molnar of the University of Colorado, USA. Earth scientists from Banars Hindu University, Universities of Delhi, Nainital, Kumaun  and Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology participated in this workshop.

Two scientists of this centre Mr. Mrigank Mauli Dwivedi and Dr. Kamlesh Pandey visit Tokyo, Japan for their research work during June 2003.
