Message of Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi

I am glad to note that the National Centre of Experimental Mineralogy and Petrology of the University of Allahabad is releasing a Brochure for circulation to various institutions for promoting the conduct of collaborative research.

Experimental Research in any field of science is highly essential to formulate new ideas and theories in frontiers of Science and Technology. It is heartening to record here that this Centre has been receiving funds from the Government of India’s Department of Science and Technology under the Scheme of Intensive Research in High Priority Areas and has developed the State of the Art of High-Pressure-Temperature Facilities to understand many enigmatic processes taking place inside the deep crust and the mantle. It is indeed worth appreciation that the scientists of this centre are fully committed to understand different dynamic process related to the geosphere-mantle mixing processes and the facilities thus created, can not only cater the need of other national institutions, but also can be used to conduct collaborative studies with industries. It is therefore undoubtedly so important for the development of science and technology as a whole for the nation.

I congratulate all Faculty Members associated with the activities of this National Centre and wish them all a grand success in their future ventures.

Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi,
Hon'ble Minister for Human Resource Development,
