Dr. Dwivedi completed B.Tech (Electronics and Communication), M.Tech (Electronics) degrees at University of Allahabad with Ist position and his Ph.D. in 2004. He has been working at this Centre since September, 1999.

He completed a training in BAYERISCHES FORSCHUNGSINSTITUT FÜR EXPERIMENTELLE GEOCHEMIE UND GEOPHYSIK, UNIVERSITÄT BAYREUTH, Germany for calibration of Micro-processor controlled High Pressure Temperature Multi-Anvil System.

He has also completed a training course on Electron Probe Micro Analyser in Jeol Japan in 2003.

He recently (November 2007) got training for developing system for Seismic velocity measurement at high pressure and temperature in Yokohama National University, Japan.

Qualification:
Ph.D. topic: Experimental study of the system leucite-akermanite-plagioclase under 1bar, and 20 Kbar at variable temperatures. Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, University of Allahabad in 2004

Life Member of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, IETE (India).

Research:

Currently working on and preparing geological standards for Electron Probe Micro Analyser.

Performing phase equilibrium experiments on various systems at High Pressure / High Temperature (1500 C & 100 Kbar) using Multi Anvil Instrument.

Performing experiments on Roedderite mineral stability up to 20 Kbar at variable temperature using piston cylinder apparatus.

Performing experiments on melilite-plagioclase incompatibility relationships upto 20 Kbar at variable temperature using piston cylinder and hydro-thermal apparatus.

Successfully completed experiments on coloration of diamonds using HPPT methods.
